2006

WindCom founded by Tecsis to service their warranty in North America

As their exports to the US grew, Tecsis decided the best way to serve their customers in NA was to establish a service center in the US. Since blades were arriving in ports in and around Houston, it only made sense to establish the business there.

2007

Started up tower service with work cages

WindCom was the first blade service company to use suspended platforms for blade repairs establishing a safety program to ensure safe operation for this new application.

2008

Expanded services to customers other than Tecsis

With an infrastructure to service blades on site it made sense to pursue work from OEM’s and end users of the blades.

2009

Invested in and started using 360° work platforms

The 360° platform enables WindCom the ability to repair severe damage or provide other services more efficiently.

Developed 360° sub-zero platform

To address the need to repair blades in the winter, three 360° platforms were equipped to service blades allowing repairs to be made in freezing conditions.

2010

Began offering rope access

Rope access opened the door to provide quick access to the blades for inspections and light repairs.

WindCom moved to present headquarters on World Houston Parkway

With the old office outgrown, expansion to the new world headquarters added the office, warehouse and training space needed for an expanding company.

2011

Developed the eReporting system

The new eReporting system allowed mobile links to a system the revolutionized the ability to communicate with the field.  Data can now be entered on the job with engineering access providing work instructions and quality assurance.

2013

Added a dedicated EHS manager

With a growing business and safety as a priority, it made sense to open a new    management position as EHS manager.
